Wordpress Website Support

We are looking for a part-time Wordpress Designer/Developer to assist with ongoing maintenance and smaller projects related to our clients’ Wordpress websites. Our client sites vary in size from a few pages to 2000 pages, including Woocommerce and Wordpress Multisite implementations.

Support activities include:

  • Responding to client tickets within an agreed upon response window.
  • Building new pages that fit with the existing design of the site.
  • Content and tag updates provided by client or SEO teams.
  • Troubleshooting bugs and implementing fixes within Wordpress.
  • Escalating issues to our developers as needed and managing those tickets.
  • QAing bugs and new features rolled out by the developers.
  • Monthly updates to Wordpress, themes, and plugins.

The ideal candidate has the ability to resolve technical issues while also having an eye for design, when a page build is needed for a client.

The candidate should have:

  • Experience designing with Wordpress and Divi. Divi is essential, as all our sites are built using the Divi Builder. This ensures ease of maintenance by managing all sites on the same platform.
  • Experience with CSS, using CSS to customize Divi/Wordpress.
  • Experience building or managing Wordpress Multisites and Woocommerce. We have Wordpress Multisite implementations on a single domain with 150+ sub sites.
  • Good eye for web design. We do have full site build opportunities, but the more immediate need for this role is the ability to put together landing pages for clients based on the existing site design.
  • Autonomous approach. The ideal partner will be a problem solver. There will be some items that are straightforward and others that you will need creativity to determine the best solution.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices as it relates to website development. For example, every new image uploaded needs an alt tag.

We will work with the candidate to determine the structure, whether an hourly engagement or a monthly retainer.

Location & Time Commitment

This is an hourly position. We anticipate 10-20 hours per week. We’re looking for supporting during peak Eastern or Central hours – ideally 9am-5pm EST.
